Great spot for people watching. Always good service. I'd highly recommend the Bombay pizza. Best to book in advance to get a prime perving position on the roadside.

A friend and I had a 'Mummys' night out and made our way to Auckland to stay with my sister in law. She is a Ponsonby local and chose GPK for our evening meal. The staff were friendly & professional - exactly what you'd expect, not to clingy, not too nonchalant. Exactly the right amount of service. The food was lovely I had the soup entry and Pork Belly for a main - although to be slightly critical I wasn't too sure about the noodles with the pork belly - but possibly more personal choice than anything. We were far too full for dessert but the menu looked delicious!

Had a really great night on Thursday, the meals were delicious (my husband had shashimi and I had the morroccan pizza plus a selection of breads as a starter). The bar staff were very professional and efficient and great service! Will definitely be back again, thanks alot!

My friends and I frequent this restaurant every week and have done for many months. We have always found the staff friendly and professional, and the atmosphere vibrant and welcoming. We find the food is of a consistently high standard and the prices very competitive for a Ponsonby road restaurant. My personal favourite's are the chicken burger (which is amazing value for money) and the margarita pizza, simple and so tasty. Great service, great flavours, great value!

went in for dinner with my partner. our waitress was very friendly. my partner had a steak which he said was perfectly cooked and i had a chicken burger which was very good. it was a enjoyable dinner.

Mediocre at best. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm no restaurant snob, but this place just has little going for it. The food choices are typical of just about any halfway decent Italian restaurant, the atmosphere is modern enough, but the service was embarrassingly slow, the staff were uncouth, and the prices were fitting of a restaurant far more cultured.

Went here last weekend for the first time with a friend, as Dizengoff was full. Had the lunch special $25 for and entree, main and drink. We had bruschetta- 1 piece and although small this was tasty. Our main's were pan fried snapper on olive mash. This was a huge disappointment and neither of us finished the meal.The snapper was obviously old and over cooked.My friend noted it was like cutting a piece of steak! probably the worst snapper I have ever eaten. The mash was stiff with very few olives. We will not be returning. Over priced, poor quality and no atmosphere.

used to be a great place to go, although service seems to no longer be priority to them, neither does the quality of food, one night i sent my fish back 3 times - was always uncooked. They didnt care. often i go and the meal isnt right. nice to sit outside in summer time and people watch, and pizzas are always good

great service but downstairs we felt a bit squashed in... I ordered the squid and paid an extra $10 for the mains size but it was hardly a main! Disappointed with the cost of the meal actually

Good place for a steak meal or pizza. It's generally noisy at GPK in Ponsonby, so not the place to head for an intimate night out. But it's great for a night out with a group before hitting Ponsonby bars.

Great place for a quick lunch and a glass of wine. Express lunch menu has good choices and changes regularly, which is good if you go there often. Nice quick service, heated outdoor seating area, great for watching the world go by.

We were a big noisy group upstairs at 3 tables and all credit to our fabulous waitress who managed to keep us all in check and deliver the right food to the right people at the right times!My snapper was superb and the steak looked great as well Good central location in Ponsonby

Went here for a stag night with 15 others. Restaurant staff was slow and not very helpful. I ordered a "Higher end" Canterbury steak, the steak arrived by itself with no greens and no sauce, there was no colour and no taste. Frankly a microwave would have done a better job. Found out after the meal that there were actual sauces that had to be shared, it was kind of hard to "share" sauces when the other person who had steak as well was seated 5 down. Stick to the pizzas and drinks GPK.
