Tradewinds (NZ) is a locally owned company specialising in umbrellas and outdoor products.
Umbrellas are primarily sourced from Tradewinds Parasol in Cape Town. Tradewinds is a brand name synonymous with good styling, consistency and reliability. In addition to the traditional wooden sun umbrella, the range has developed to include Stainless Steel and aluminium products.
Complementing the Tradewinds umbrellas is a range of selected furniture (wooden, wicker, aluminium), outdoor heaters, and bean bags.
Used both locally and internationally for branding by multi-nationals such as; Red Bull, Coca-Cola, Becks, Steinlager, Stella Artois, Mot & Chandon and Heineken " the Tradewinds Parasols has become an important outdoor media vehicle for communications campaigns.
Winner of the Nelson Mandela Merit Award for Export in 1998/99, Tradewinds found a niche in the high specification parasol market with its premier product, the Tradewinds Classic Parasol. This superior product is made from durable hardwoods, harvested from renewable resources. From early on, this classic range of hardwood sun umbrellas set the international industry standard.
