Had taken my vehicle for an LVV cert. After checking it over for a couple hours, I return to the shop to be told the car can not be certified due to a minor modification to the tips of the chassis rails at the front of the car. Was told to pass the cert, I would have to replace the entire front portion of my chassis rails (extremly expensive job), and was charged $650 for the process. The shop refused to lower the cost even though no actual documentation or cert plate was made, and would not offer any more advice and basically told me to go away. I took the car to another well known certifier who also picked up on the issue, but actually made a good attempt to check if those modifications to the chassis rail tips were within the acceptable boundaries, which they were, and was certified ($550 later). This certifier took pictures and documentation of my chassis tips, and sent it to LTSA authority that deals with the LVVT cert. It is this authority that made the decision that the car could cert with no problems. Clive DeCleen at Pakuranga Automotive has provided me the most unfriendly service, and is the worst shop I've dealt with. Completely un-professional, and did not even bother looking into it further. Just declined anything I had to say, took my money, and didn't want to hear from me again. This car has been with me for the past 6.5 years and counting. This has been the worst experience I've encountered in all the years involved with cars.

Hi there kuroneko, thanks for your comment unfortunately Clive DeCleen hasn't worked at Pakuranga Automotive for the past two years, so your poor service with him must have taken place before 2011. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Pakuranga Automotive has been under new ownership since 2011 and are a father and son run company now.
