Chilton Lodge Boarding Cattery

My name is Simon and I would like to tell all puddies out there about the boarding cattery where I live. I was The Unwanted' - until I arrived here at the owners of Chilton Lodge Cattery. I am now the 'Concierge' for the cattery and to puddies who don't know what that is - it's the 'Puddy' who does the meet and greet of guests when they arrive. We opened in 1990 and accommodate aprroximately 12 - 15 cats - and no canine critters. We have cosy and comfortable individual units and you are booked into the unit most appropriate for you.

As we cats are, by nature, generally solitary animals, individual cages are great for our own space. It also makes it easier for the 'Boss' to monitor what 'goes in and out'. Cages have a cute name tag so the 'Boss' and I always know your name - it does make you feel part of everything. The cages have neat little 'cubby holes' for you to retire into, with warm snuggly beds and in winter you get hot water bottles! As you become more confident about being away from your mum and dad you can move into the larger cages. We are not a big flash cattery but we make up for it with a very caring environment. People are in and out all day so no one is lonely, the radio going helps keep up on the news of the day.

Cages are cleaned between 6 and 7am and if you're feeling confident you can wander out and about around the cattery with some of the other cats that the Boss thinks you will get on with. After this its return to your cage, clean and fresh, to have breakfast. Lunch is usually a top-up of the yummy dry food that we get. Dinner is at 5pm and 'Lights out' is between 8.30 - 9pm or later. It's a bit like boarding school really.
The menu consists of a combination of Nutro dry food (it's all natural ingredients) and, wet food which consists of: Gourmet, Dine, Fancy Feast, steak, chicken and yummy treats. Special diet - that's OK too.
I'm in and out most days to chat or sometimes just hop in my basket and have a snooze.
