6th September 2012 two days stay in the farm is really a pleasant and unforgettable experience. we had a lot of fun there, feeding the animals, riding the quad bikes, enjoy the views.Peter and Linda are very kind and nice.Strongly recommended, you will not regret.
Enjoy quiet time in a rural atmosphere where we offer opportunity to feed the lambs, chickens, horses, goat and horse ride, quadbike ride, hunting and 4WD trips.
Nestled into the hills of the Hutt Valley basin, this FARMSTAY property has privacy, a rural atmosphere, restful views, all day sun ( weather permitting), yet within a few kilometres of the major cities in the area.
It is about equidistant from Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt, about 3 kms further to Porirua and 10 kms further to Wellington City.
School buses stop at the gate and a Railway Station is at the bottom of the hill only 3 kms away connecting with trains directly to the Westpac Stadium, for rugby matches like the All Blacks TESTS & Super 14 games and also to the main Wellington Railway station and the main bus terminals and inter island ferries.
On a clear day the snow on the Kaikoura mountains in the South Island can be seen from the top of the property as can Wellington Harbour and also the Pauatahanui Inlet where novice Windsurfers learn surfing skills, also where small yachts, power boat water skiers and Jet skis play in the safety of the very shallow salt water 'lake'.

25th January 2010 On our NZ trip we had an absolutly fab. stay with Peter en Linda !! These very warm en kind people made the stay not only for the kids but for us as well a real thrill. Even the road getting there was an adventure. All this with amazing views on the upper part of the 50 acres wood covered premesis. We learned a lot of the "Kiwi-way" of doing things and got more insight on NZ then the the rest of the trip all togheter. We think a "must-do" when you visit NZ

3rd November 2009 We stayed at woodhigh for 3 days, and the whole experience was very amazing.
The farm was very quiet and beautiful, and Peter & Linda's warm welcome make us enjoy our stay more.
We learnt to drive tractor, riding the quad, and shooting from Peter. It was very very exciting!!
Oh, and plus enjoy the company of the 3 years old hyperactive Joshua too. :D
And after all the activities, you will be very tired and hungry, and the smell of food from Linda's kitchen was very tempting.
She's really such a great chef.
This farmstay experience make our honeymoon really unforgettable, lots of new experience we've had there.
If there's any chance we visit NZ again, we sure will come back. :p
Thanks for the wonderful time.
Andre & Vilya

17th October 2009 I stayed two weeks at Woodhigh. As soon as I entered the farm, it was like being in a heaven- quiet and peaceful- surrounded by beautiful green hills and vast views. Great place to have R&R and to enjoy walks around the farm. Hospitality of Peter and Linda was undescribable, very caring and kind couple. Enjoyed taking shooting lessons and quad bike expereince with Peter. I admire Peter's attention to details and his helpful nature. Also, enjoyed close proximity of golf courses from the farm and company of my playing buddy, Peter. I feel very rejuvinated after my stay at Woodhigh. My two weeks vacation felt like two days. If I didnt have my work commitment, I would have loved to stay there longer. I highly recommend this place for a "long get-away". I am surely coming back... Dr. R. Khujneri, Perth, WA.

6th April 2009 At Woodhigh, you'll be part of a big family in no time. The joint dinner in the spacious living area is a daily highlight (which, needless to say, has also a lot to do with Linda's cooking prowess). Our stay widened our horizon in many ways. And, yes, it was the first time ever for me to ride a quad, and I enjoyed it big time. The terrain is terrific, and Pete is a gifted coach.
As a visitor from Europe, I've often been blown away seeing how easily and happily Kiwis open their homes and their hearts to the rest of the world. Woodhigh is a fine case in point.
Cheers from Germany, Andreas

16th April 2008 My family and I moved from the UK to NZ and spent 2 months staying at Woodhigh Forest Farm while in Wellington area. We all had an absolutely amazing time and enjoyed ourselves immensely. My son got to spend time in a safe environment with animals and fresh air and space, and my husband learnt how to ride a quadbike. Both Peter and Linda put so much into our stay with them and really helped set us on the right track in finding property and learning the kiwi way of life. Indeed we had such a great time, that we have come back to stay for a holiday, as we have now become friends. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Woodhigh as it is everything you could wish for in a "getting away from it all" environment. Thank you for a wonderful time, Rachel
