We attended a function at Soljans and vowed to return with our overseas guests. Food and ambience wonderful, a great example of welcoming Kiwi hospitality.

Ample parking, lovely warm atmosphere, great range of delicious food and a cellar to boot! What more could one ask for?

Good range and reasonably good vino. They don't often taste them but the sparlings are top notch. Restaurant is nice too with a goo by the glass selection (as you'd expect)

We did a wine tour and stopped at Soljans. The food and wine were excellent and well matched to compliment each other. A great trip for visitors to NZ and experience NZ's best wines on your door step

We took overseas visitors to Soljans to experience the good New Zealand wines and food. We were not disappointed. The wine was superb and the food delicious. It was a particularly busy time for them and we were advised of this as we arrived. We expected long delays for service and possibly compromised meals as they were fully booked. To our surprise, the staff were really geared up for busy times and starters and wine arrived on time to keep us busy and all delicious meals were delivered together. Most restaurants can deliver good quality under normal conditions, but when it is very busy, it takes experience and professionalism to keep the clientele happy. Well done Soljans

A few of us were lucky enough to have the day off work so we headed to Soljans for a dash of wine tasting and a bit of a posh lunch. And can I just say: what a treat! The friendly Soljan's staff gave us a warm welcome with brilliant tips and advice while we tasted their wine and upon proceeding to the cafe the food was simply delicious. We enjoyed sharing dessert too - divine. Perfect for whiling away a few hours and a brilliant day trip. I highly recommend it.

Did wine tasting and bought some devine sparkling wine (some for Mum and Dad too). Had a lovely lunch in the cafe, sat outside on a super sunny day, great food, great atmosphere. Great stop on a Wild West wine tour with good friends.

This is a fantastic wedding venue, we had our wedding in spring and the buds on the vines were just coming out, Kylie the functions co-ordinater was fabulous as was all the staff, nothing was a problem and everything went as planned. Food was fantastic, they catered to those with special needs with no issue. We celebrated with the Fusion wine, but will highly recommend the Tawny Port as a night cap, so buy up large unless you need a reason to visit again !!

This place is what spending lazy sunday afternoons is all about. Great atmosphere, food that tastes incredible. Good to go on a fine or rainy day - its worth the 20min drive from central auckland.
