I have bought several items from Jansen over the last years and have made very good experiences with the sales staff and the way they have helped me with their expertise. The reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is that their shop although it has an extensive selection of products on offer could be organised more intuitively so that it is easier to find what you're looking for.

Most horrific experience I have ever had as a customer. The staff are really rude and dismissive, Simon in particular is extremely shocking to deal with and has no problem with yelling at customers. I would never shop here again. If you're looking for lighting gear then try Xytech up the road you are extremely helpful in comparison

Ordered an expensive broadcast microphone from their website, got a 4 word reply from Simon saying that they don’t stock this (despite being advertised on their website) when I asked if they could get it in the ENTIRE reply was "Yes just not quickly" Really unhelpful considering we are shooting a major NZ documentary and were relying on using Jansen for the majority of the new gear we required. In the end I cancelled my order and sourced this from overseas for cheaper, it then arrived 3 days later. So this ends our 8 year relationship with JANSEN Audio in Auckland, unfortunately we will never purchase or be able to recommend them again based on this experience.
