DS trees provided the best price and their services were truly excellent. We had some interesting quotes ranging up to $2000 for the same job that DS Trees were able to do for less than 1/3 of the price. They don't spare men power for a small job: three men came for one not-so-big silk tree which I appreciated greatly. They got the tree down promptly and did an amazing job getting rid of the stump and any visible roots. Hassle free, no fuss. They were at our house only two days after the payment. I am overjoyed with overall result, I will definitely be using them again in the future.

DS Trees have a 12" chipper for ease of tidy up and removal of large trees. We have a four wheel drive and 4 tonne digger for land clearing jobs with difficult access.

Stump Grinding: removing those stumps in whatever location is no problem with our self-propelled or hand held stump grinder. Mulch can be left on site for use on gardens or removed from site.

DS trees trimmed 4 large trees for us quickly and professionally with minimum fuss. Their quote was very reasonable, they were all very pleasant to deal with and they left the property tidy and clean. Can't recommend enough. Jan Mitchell

Doug and his team have just finished removing two huge trees in our backyard (as of feb 2014), we have used his services before on smaller jobs, and are again really pleased with the work done, and the reasonable price. I would reccomend Doug to anyone, he is as enthusiastic about a small job, as he is interested in and capable of handling difficult jobs with extremely big trees. Doug is also very peasant to deal with, as are his whole team, they were a joy to have arround, even taking time at the end of the day to chat with my elderly Dad. It was such a relief to have such experienced and capable guys on the job. I can't thank Doug enough for his work. The Cobb's at Greenhill Cresent.

Doug and his team did a great job with my property. His are a pretty hard hard working bunch who kept within timeframe and left my property in a clean and tidy condition. Extremely good value for money! He was also very flexible with last minute changes. Would highly recommend DS Trees to anyone.

In 2011 we returned from two and a half years overseas to our home in Howick, where we were immediately faced with the task of sorting out our garden full of weeds, over grown trees and expired shrubs. At first we thought that bit-by-bit we could tackle the task on our own and besides we assumed that it would be far too expensive to hire anyone to help. Pretty soon it started to dawn on us that some of the things we needed doing were more major than we had first anticipated. Due to our busy lives even the things that we were 'technically' capably of addressing were not likely to be tackled for quite a while, if ever! It was about this time that we were recommended Doug and his team at DS Trees and Landscapes. We were reassured by what we were told and gave him a call. Doug quickly provided a quote for pruning, and removal of a large number of trees and shrubs, including stump grinding. He organised subcontractors for specialist items, including arborist work on a damaged feature tree. Doug gave us one itemised quote for everything and seamlessly manages the whole project. Doug and his team provided a great professional service. Doug managed to provide solutions that delivered to our expectations and budget (He kept within it!!!) and there was the added value of him taking the time to advise us on how we could develop the garden, now that they had revealed the main structure of it. We have nothing but praise for their quality work. We have received many compliments from friends and neighbours on our garden and enquires for Dougs contact details. We would happily recommend Doug and his team from DS Trees and Landscapes to any other person looking for a good quality job with honest, friendly service and without breaking the bank! From their first visit to assess and quote, up to completion of their work and their follow-ups, Doug Bartlett and the team at DS Trees were brilliant. Efficient, diligent, experienced and good communication. They also provide the typical kiwi small business experience, honest, pragmatic and easy to deal without the unnecessary bureaucracy and overheads.

Careful, professional work (pruning, removal and stump grinding) done in awkward access areas. Very, very happy with the results. On time, friendly, and left the property tidy and looking great. Very happy to recommend, and would happily use this company again.

DS Trees trimmed our Olive Tree hedge - a small but quite tricky job. They did the job when they said they would do it, and did so very proficiently and professionally. Its a great result and I will certainly use them again. I've no hesitation in recommending them.

Removed a large tree for us. VERY professional crew with the right equipment. Worked quickly and cleaned up area after them. Would highly recommend them for any kind of tree services. No comparison to other tree companies we have used in the past and seen at work at other places in our street.
