9th February 2015 Don't use western cabs if you need reliable transport! Pre-booking didnt help either!! We pre-booked at mid-day for a 3:30pm sunday pick up to take us to a wedding. at 3:35 I phoned to confirm how far away they were. The person who answered said that they didn't have any cars available and no one was on their way to pick us up, they wouldnt be able to get us to the wedding on time despite us pre-booking the job. The operator didn't seem to care and was unhelpful. Luckily we found an awesome taxi company who pulled out all the stops to get us to the wedding on time. We will never use western cabs again.

13th December 2013 Absolutely appalling service! My friend and I were standing outside in the dark and cold for over 40 - 50 minutes after being told from the telephone operator that one was coming 'As soon as possible' which I took to mean 'immediately' from the positive tones. I ring back and the operator states that one isn't coming! Because they are too far away! I explain that we have been waiting outside, she asks why, I say because our driveway isn't good for the taxi to drive up, but really we didn't want it to beep the horn and then drive away. The operator was unsympathetic and unprofessional. All she said was that the cars are driving around Te Atatu and Glen Eden and that is not far from my house at all! I will NEVER use this company again! The service is crap! I rang Co-op and a taxi came within 10 minutes.

9th May 2011 No stars awarded whatsoever. However, I am forced to give them a 0.5 star rating or I'm unable to submit this review. Disappointed. Standing orders are a complete waste of time. They can't guarantee a cab for an intellectually disabled man any more. Late EVERY day for over a week. The excuse was, it is because of the school holidays. Today he has been left standing in Hukunui Cres for an hour & a quarter! No reason given. They don't leave children standing , why do they think it's OK to leave disabled people without transport? Last week when I called yet again, I asked why they have a contract with ARC if they can't supply. Smart aleck answer was, "Because we're SO reliable!" I have a constructive suggestion for sure. Standing orders should be just that, ESPECIALLY for our most vulnerable people.
