27th October 2006 they used to be very average but the last few months they have really changed, their taxis arrive on time, their call centre staff are courteous and their older cars have been replaced with newer ones.
I don't know what they have done but it is working, with a service like that they will continue to improve and grow.
1st January 2015 This was our first and last experience using Tauranga Mount Taxis. I ordered a taxi well in advance(11hrs) to get home at New Years, not a problem, time and location confirmed, ride home sorted.
The time came, we waited, it didn't show, we called them twice and they said we are a "priority" and that someone will be out ASAP, so we waited some more, it still didn't show. 7 hrs after booking time, no show and no txt or call to say nobody is coming. Now able to drive home after a uncomfortable sleep on the couch.
To be trusted, if they take a booking they should honour it, otherwise what's the point of booking! At the very least, if they are having trouble getting a driver out, it is so crucial to a sound taxi company to communicate it. Then people have the opportunity to make other arrangements. Certainly don't tell them they are a "priority", when they are obviously not!
The only remotely good thing is they made an effort to clarify the booking when I made it, to make sure they had the time and location for pickup correct, which instilled me with a little confidence, (which is now long gone).

12th June 2013 Tauranga Mount Taxis caused us so much stress at the start of our holiday. Booked in advance a van for early Saturday morning to take us to the airport and they never turned up at all. Phoned them to complain and their lame excuse was they had no vans on so they just didn't send anyone at all!! They went away to see what they could do but hung up on me. I phoned them back five minutes later to say don't bother because I had to drive or miss my flight. Then 10 minutes later I got a rude message from another of their drivers to tell me off because he was sitting outside my house. I rang him to explain the booking was late and we'd had to drive and he had the cheek to lecture me as if I was the disorganised one. I phoned the call centre and asked their manager to call me on Monday to explain. Once again, no show. I will NEVER use them again. Not one mistake, but three, and they couldn't care less about putting it right.
