17th November 2010 Lunchtime specials are great here, affordable and delicious, however the service isnt, a let down. Staff dont seem to 'be present' when taking orders, and the phone is often heard ringing nonstop before anyone will pick it up. Both times Ive stopped in for lunch my order was taken down incorrectly and it took three waiters to sort it out for me. Not good service at all.

4th October 2010 The food here is nice, I would reccomend it for takeaways. I did feel that the service wasn't particularly friendly, welcoming or polite... particularly when it came to paying the bill. I have had more pleasant experiences at other Indian restaurants, but the food here is slightly cheaper and decent.

1st September 2010 I had frequently dined at Tulsi for 2 years to honest due to the decor and cheap lunch menu which is still good, i would however say that the waiters and staff in general are only just polite, they don't smile much or seem very friendly. I main disappointment has been when recently using a "little red book" voucher they wouldn't give me the 25% off the whole meal (up to $20 max) they gave me 25% off $20 the difference being $15. even when red book let them know of their mistake they said they don't give credits. So thats a big fat FAIL in my books.....i feel ripped off and therefor couldn't recommend them.

31st August 2010 Brad Pitt can't be wrong when he scoffed down at this place! The best Indian place in the lower North Island, if not the country! Those retro round booths are funky, man!

7th July 2010 Reliable, dependable, and consistently good food. If you can't decide on anywhere else, try this place. Prices are reasonable and they stay open late, even on holidays. Perfect for a dark, rainy night, and you're looking to chill out with some curry and Indian beer.

29th June 2010 Very yummy food and a beautiful restaurant! Only thing that brought them down is that the waiters weren't really engaged. And the medium curries are very very hot! I'm definitely getting mild next time...Otherwise it's an excellent place. :)

4th May 2010 Tulsi is absolutely the best Indian in Wellington! The waiters are friendly & the curry is good. My favourite here is the lamb korma and I've tried a few in my time! Try and get one of the booth tables - super comfy.
