The Why Knot store is the best reduced to clear store in Auckland. If you're on a budget, you just have to go to this store and get a huge amount of bargain products but there is a catch. You will need to have a bit of patience when the store is busy, so get in quick when the store opens at 8am. Enjoy.

I travel hundreds of kms to go to this shop about 2-3 times a year. I live north of Whangarei and every time I go to Auckland I have to go to Why Knots to check out the bargains. Oh how I wish we had one of these shops in Northland. Getting a trolley can be a problem some times but the easiest way to get one if none are available is to wait a the exit and follow someone with a full trolley to their car. Works every time and they are happy they dont have to take it back. Lovely staff - very polite and always with a happy smile.

I was very impressed with this place! Amazing prices, very affordable! Purple queen I feel for you too, you must have been in on a bad day because I find customer service there is Great! Theres a European girl with black long hair on the till who is always so bubbly, smiley and gives great customer service and yes also lady with blond hair too. Assume that is the one purple queen is talking about. I normally get there in the morning to avoid the rush and its great. Kepp up the great work Why Knot!

Purple Queen I so feel for you, I too expect good manners at the very least..I went in there for the 1st time last week and was blown away by the prices and product, I have 5 kids or 6 if you include husband lol..and am always looking to save a buck..it was very busy, nevertheless I did receive great customer service by the young girls in there, I will be on the look out for a repeat of good customer service from them this week..Lets hope :)

Awesome place to shop and a great line of products at decent prices. Only draw back was some of the staff. We had asked about a price that had been taken off the box of a product and was promptly told to read the box even though we had explained it was missing. The worker did not even bother to come and see if it was true. Thankfully a lovely young girl was kind enough to get it checked and even counted the products in the said box for us. Hopefully management will see similar comments and help staff become more approachable. A smile and helpful manner goes along way.

This is a great place to get a bargain and we shop there often, always on weekends. However, the car park and premises generally could be spruced up to make the shopping more pleasant - bargain basement doesn't have to mean down-market. There always seem to be stacks of used pallets in the carpark area and there was quite a lot of litter (drink cans) lying around last time we were there. Checkout staff were friendly but more tills were needed to cope with the volume of customers on a busy Saturday afternoon. It would be good to see the place get a bit of a make-over!

This is a great place to get discounted lollies, frozen meals, yoghurt, pizza etc. General convenience food. They do have milk, eggs and bread. There are most things you get at the Supermarket. Somethings are a lot cheaper, some are the same and others are a bit more expensive. You have to know your supermarket prices so that you can get the things that are cheaper there and leave the more expensive things to get cheaper else where. They are usually cheaper because they do 2 for $2 type deals. I only buy chocolate biscuits from here because I can get 5 for $5. Tell me what supermarket has such a good deal. Be prepared to be tempted as there are lots of yummy not so good for you foods at very good prices. :-) I haven't had any problems with the staff. They are very busy but try to get people through the check outs as quick as they can.

This place is very handy, my husband and i go in there and can get a whole weeks shoping for just $50. Very affordable and If it wasnt for this place we would be eating rice and noodles every week. The only downer to this place is the customer service. you would be lucky if you could get a smile from these people. I know that they are busy alot but they should consider the needs of their customers and try taking their whole staff through a customer service course where they teach them how to do their job properly and smile. But thank yous any way for these cheap prices

I think this is a great store, products and price great!! However customer service is shocking. You know the basic smile, thank you and excuse me. I walked into the store holding a baby and a toddler in my hand. I looked for a trolley, none thats fine, I will ask where the trolley's are. A young boy said he would look for one for me. But his supervisor said no and told me to go and look for one in the car park. So I am supposed to wonder around the car park with a baby and toddler in toe when she could have sent the boy out to have a quick look and say sorry no trolley's. That would have been fine. I told her that she had no customer service skills and that she was rude. I understood they had no trolley's but she could have been nicer about it!! Still no sorry. She just walked off!! Obviously she feels that stocking shelves is more important than customers!! I have been advertising to all my friends and family how wonderful this store is. I feel cheated. However there is one lovely lady, An older blonde lady on check out who is absoutely lovely, they could all learn some manners and customer service from her. Being polite and well mannered is a great marketing tool because people talk....From a very sad loyal customer.
