23rd July 2013 We was here for my mum 70th birthday. This establishment has a fantastic menu, seafood was excellent, also lots of steak to choose from menu. good wine list, and the staff are wonderful, the staff could recommend which wines to have with the food choices and helped make it such a great experience .I would recommend eating here .

5th March 2013 Me and my friends were very disappointed with the Y-Not restaurant. I reserved a table for 6 people for my birthday dinner. When we arrived the staff greeted us with " are you sure it was tonight? " Then 5 minutes later we were seated after they had cleared/cleaned a table for us. One of my friends ordered a cocktail but was then told that she could not have it as they had just gotten a big order and could not do it due to lack of bar staff!! We waited a fair while for our mains and when they arrived they were average.. the Hawaiian pizza was too cheesy and was very sloppy and they had forgotten the salad for one of the meals so when we complained they bought it out separately. On top of all this the toilets are a disgrace.. Don't have dinner here, just dont..you will regret it

28th April 2012 We had dined at this restaurant 3 times within the last two years and it was brilliant at the time. we chose to visit again and took a friend who is visiting from overseas.
We had made a booking for a table inside on Saturday night, upon arrival, we were surprised to find only a few tables occupied. The entre of a mixed platter was good, the mains took a while to arrive, we ordered 4 eye fillets, one well done and 3 medium, the steaks arrived cold, and the medium ones were very rare, the well done one was medium!
We advised the waiter of the issue who talked to the chef and advised that 2 of the steaks will be taken off the bill as we were upset and lost our appetite. Upon paying, we were told that only one steak will be taken off the bill, we were also told that we made a fuss to get free meals. We found the treatment from the entire team quite appalling
We had dined in the best places in Auckland, and you can imagine our disappointment when we were treated this way especially in front of a friend visiting from overseas.
Needless to say, the entire evening was ruined, and we would never ever think of returning to this place again.

30th August 2010 Nice setting, Y Not catered to 26 of us well, their set menu had more choices than you would normally get with a set menu, and the price was very reasonable
