Absolutely shocking food was average, water was warm and at one point a waitress walked up asked if we wanted drinks and then walked away again without taking any orders!!!!!!!! Staff are rude at best and can barely speak English. Just don't do there it's cramped, loud and service is average at best.

Food average ~ if it had not been white I would never have known it was the chicken dish that I ordered. Others in the group commented that their pork and lamb was unrecognisable. Ordered a meal that did not mention beans but seemingly, even if not mentioned, all meals have beans. Service extremely poor and very, very, very slow. Had to get up and ask when the drinks would arrive to be told they will be coming. Ordered a second Pinot Gris (white) and a Pinto Noir (red) arrived. By now I was so thirsty that I took the red! From then on we joked about what may arrive at each order.

Good place to go to. When in there only havn a hour to eat and they did they told us what was gd and it was great!! Will return when i have more time!!!!

Went as a group of four and we couldn't hear above the loud music and noise enough to have a conversation. We couldn't even hear the waiters and waitresses half of the time, but that was good because they wouldn't leave us alone. They came so many times asking us if we wanted more, even when it was obvious that we were still eating and trying to have a conversation, which was near impossible short of yelling. The appetisers were nice. Stuffed jalepenos and nachos (I forgot the official names). There was way too much cheese for the dozen or so chips on the plate. I would have expected a huge pile to go with all that cheese. The plate for the jalepenos was way too small though. There were 4 of us and they gave us 3 jalepenos, so of course we had to cut them up, but there was no room. Some fell on the table. The mains were uninspiring. The chimichonga looked exactly like the burrito except it was deep fried. They didn't even attempt to distinguish the two. The burrito was heavily browned on the top, and worse on the bottom. The steak seemed to be ok, but the fajita was an exercise in frustration with only three tortillas for an entire skillet of fairly flavourless vegetables. The rice was a bit dry and my partner makes better refried beans, and she doesn't even speak Spanish. The chocolate cake for dessert was tasty, but the minuscule scoop of ice cream hidden by a hefty slab of cake was a disappointment. If you are going to describe a dessert as 'cake and ice cream' then there should be enough ice cream to justify that description. There was only enough to consider it as a garnish along with the mint and cream. Compared with the final bill, $165 for four, it was a big disappointment. We ended up going to one of the party's houses for tea and conversation afterward because we couldn't manage to talk much during the meal. If you just want some loud music, rude staff, and overpriced, uninspiring Tex-Mex, then you might enjoy FBB. Otherwise, grab a taco kit from the dairy and make your own.

I always have a good time here, the portion are huge and delicious, the staff are always really friendly and nice, and the margaritas are the best, the only downside is ofter having to wait for a table and it is a little cramped

Good mexican restaurnt which has been around for quite some time. Good flavours. Recommend going early to beat the dinner crowd. Clearly one of the nicer mexican restaurnts in Wellington.

I would agree with other reviews, the place is a little cramped, but the interior is quite unique, a cozy, underground feel to it - dark and a bit mysterious. Good mexican food, generally bold and hearty. Substantial servings meant we overate a bit. Good wine list, good staff, friendly and frantic. A great place to catch up with friends or for a work celebration (not really a date restaurant). overall, great food, fun place.

All staff and kitchen staff were really happy and helpful. It's pain that we cannot make a reservation but their mexican foods were just amazing! I have been there a quite few times for nice and casural dining. I am satisfied with their services and foods. Interier design also great!

While the food is good this place is just so cramped! I don't want to eat with a waiter's legs constantly bashing my elbow. All I thought about as I ate my meal was how quickly an epidemic would rush through this place. Seriously, take out a table and give us some space!

Such a great restaurant! If you would like to treat yourself to a good night out in a whole different atmosphere, this would be the place to go. Margaritas and food is GREAT!! As must!

LOVE this place. Amazing interior. You do have to wait for ages, but it's worth it. Margaritas are excellent and the michelada is definitely worth a try, perhaps not the spicy version... Great burritos and quesadillas!

Flying burrito brothers is by far the best restaurant i have ever been to. The food is amazing and the atmosphere and decor is also great. It is a real experience. The only thng that lets it down is having to wait for a table usually for at least half an hour. Such a popular restaurant that they do not take bookings. Other than that I am a frequent diner!

Love Mexican food, and this place does it good. Does get super busy though and you can't book which is a shame. Minus one star, because when we went the place seemed quite quiet and they told us there were no tables, so sat us at the bar for half an hour... Cheeky. Also we ordered and then our meals came out within 10 minutes... I like waiting a little longer for my meal, makes me think that the meal was made fresh. Regardless though it was yum. Perhaps a little overpriced for burritos nd guacamole.

I always have a fun night here. The best part is that they sell pitchers of Margarita! The food is great too, but I am a huge fan of mexican. Great for groups.

I had a fantastic time! The service was friendly and fast and all staff were latino, which made the experience very authentic! My favorite dish is the Holy Mole enchiladas and of course the spicy cheese dip with a good fresh margarita...si senor! I love this place.

Having lived in California for three years prior to moving to Wellington, I have strong cravings for delicious Mexican food that are not easily fulfilled in this island nation. After numerous attempts, this is by far the best Mexican food I've had in the city. It is not particularly excellent nor economical. But it is the best I've had so far. The chicken burrito is far superior to the beef burrito and the quesadillas are very good. What I like the most is the guacamole. Everywhere else I've eaten guac it is bland and tastes like the avocados weren't ripe and were picked too early. But the Brothers make a great guac and use ripe delicious avocados. Is it worth $10 for a side of guac? Perhaps not. It depends on how bad the cravings get:)
