24th June 2012 I have been to this restaurant several times. The best South Indian food I have had in Auckland. Saturday/Sunday buffet is a real VFM and food quality is good. The ambience is a simplistic approach which is synonymous with South Indian culture and is a welcome change from all other restaurants always vying for a more complicated look. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

26th July 2010 If you want to taste something different but which sets your tastebuds tingling then Safrron's South Indian menu is the way t ogo.
It does good dosas, idli, medu vadas and sambhar. Always packed to the full.
But it could do better with its potato filling. The Madras cofee after the meal completes the course.
It has t omaintain its consistency, as the food doesn't always taste the same. Sometimes it is better.

16th July 2010 The best South Indian cuisine I have ever ever eaten in Auckland. Their extensive weekend menu is a delight for food lover. You just pay $11 and can eat Idli, Dosa, Wada, Rice, sweet etc. Their Sambhar and Chutney is very tasty and a cuppa of coffee is devine.
Anyone, who visists this little restaurent will surely come again and again.
