7th December 2011 The worst experience I have ever had there, most of the staff cant speak or understand english at all, you would expect to have a better customer service when you pay $200.00 and have table full of people. I will never recomend Ocean View resturant to any one or go back again simply due to the poor/bad customer service.
I just can't imagine how can the resturant run by some one can't communicate to customers??? I felt on that day that I wasted my money and my time, it was so frustrating and disappointing moments.

21st September 2011 Worst dining out experience I've ever had. After being seated it took us half an hour to get SOME people drinks, of which they had about a quarter of the menu actually in stock. The wine glasses for our BYO took almost an hour to get there. The food was nothing short of rubbish and a few of our friends got sick the following day. Dessert was stale brownie or fruit salad from a can. There's ice cream, but that will cost you extra. And when you're paying $45 a head (yes, $45!) you'd expect that to cover ice cream. At least they're ahead of the ball for Christmas. Good stuff guys.

15th August 2011 You'd think with the location that this would be a quality restaurant - perception can be misguiding! The Mongolian BBQ had lovely king prawns and then some fat-laiden cuts of other meat. The buffet contained a couple of nice options (mango curry was great) but the rest left a lot to be desired (deep-fried sushi anyone?!). The "Dessert" buffet included just two options and not the ice cream that was on display to the public (that cost extra!). The atmosphere was lifeless and the lack of ventilation left a permanent smoky deep-fried smell. And please take down the Christmas tree - it's August! I would NOT recommend this to anyone and certainly will not be going back. If I want a buffet, I'll go to Valentines!!

4th October 2010 Had my sons first birthday party here on the weekend, now being the worry wart that i am i went in several times about car parks and deposits etc, one of the managers gave me 10 free carparks, it was a shame that the owner charged me 10% per park, per hour, advising me that only rhe first hour was free. Dissapointing that i had to pay and a prmise was not fulfilled but he gave me an ok discount. The food was great, and as was the atmosphere, the staff were friendly, but found that they didnt clear the plates until after we had finished. The owner had also set up a dvd to watch for the children, and was very accomodating, for media etc. Overall, the kids and adults alike were happy with the food, and all had a good time. 8/10 (only due to the car park thing)

17th September 2010 This restaurant really impressed us the first time we went - lunch during the week. So we decided to take the whole family for Fathersday ... and was less impressed. On our first visit one had a wide variety of choice, on Fathersday the bowls was there, but most only contained a few scraps most of the time. We've done several trips to see if it got refilled and even asked the staff for it, but most of the meaty dishes we never got to enjoy. We asked for a window seat when we booked and they agreed, but when we got there, we had to sit in a very draughty place with no view out. We were still having our main meal when all the plates were replaced with only small salad side plates. We managed to get our fill at a reasonable price, but were dissappointed at the experience which should have been special for the occasion.
Will now only return for weekday lunches now and then.

7th September 2010 I went to this restaurant after a friend recommended it. I went as a group of 9 other diners on Sunday 05/09. It was a little busy. The buffet selection was okay, not many dishes available at the time we approached the buffet stations. most of the food had not been replaced and there were quite a few empty chafers. The food was okay - the pad thai did not resemble a pad thai of any sort! and the lemon chicken was sticky sweet and tasteless. However the other hot dishes did make up for what was lacking(grilled eel, vermecelli korean style, small fried catfish) They also had a selection of sushi and sashimi. my friend recommended that we go for dinner instead as the price includes the buffet selection aswell as a selection of raw meat that you can bbq yourself at your own table(bbq plates attached to your table.)the staff are attentive but most didnt really understand english that well.overall a very good deal for lunch at $15 pp with children at $8(ages 4-14).Food satisfactory. Atmosphere ok...view is awesome(if you get a window seat facing the water).Parking can be arranged through the staff where you can possibly park for free(if more than 4 guests).small groups of 3 or less pay $5.00 to the restaurant(you must arrange parking when you arrive before paying at the parking station.I am looking forward to going again for dinner this time and check out the floorshow they have on friday.watch this space for more reviews!

24th August 2010 Great to have another buffet restaurant to go to, especially for lunch in the city. Good quality food for very reasonable price. Great location and atmosphere. A hidden gem.
