I have found Java Room to offer consistently great food and excellent service. Inside it's small but cosy and the outdoor area is great on summer evenings or for larger groups.

Great Asian fusion meals. Prawn curry is by far my favourite. Perfect for a large group in summer. Lovely deck area. BYO. Food is amazing however not large meals.

I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants in Auckland and also in Thailand and Java room consistenly delivers. The food is always fresh and there is a huge selection on offer. Be aware if you book a table for a lot of people, you may be seated outside which is nice, however a tad chilly in winter!

Wandering down the cobblestoned alley way I wasn't sure I was heading for the right place, but hidden down the back is a small villa which is very welcoming inside - like visiting friends for dinner. It was a freezing night so wasn't too warm inside, but we huddled together and ordered hot spicy food to warm us up. We ordered a glass of wine each, which was poured straight from the bottle in front of us - impressive (maybe that's why this place is so popular). It was quite noisy but in a happy, jolly way - and the food was pretty damn good. Good sized portions, top notch asian fusion with excellent pricing - which made up for the service which was a little slow. Great place to take your friends and unwind.

My partner and I went to Java Room recently and it was fantastic! The service was impeccable and the food was incredible. They offer secure parking not far from the restaurant and even though we chose a miserable wet night to go out to dinner we could still sit comfortably in the covered balcony area. What more can I say? I loved it!
