11th May 2016 Service was dreadful - the two waitresses couldn't manage a smile between them, and seemed like they didn't really want to be there. Portions were much smaller than last time I visited (last year) and the steak was full of gristle and fat. My wife's smoked chicken pasta was actually made with boiled chicken, and was stringy and tasteless. When she sent it back she was told the chef had tasted it and there was nothing wrong with it - not an ideal way to deal with customer complaints.
We used to be frequent diners at Ainos, but the new owners just don't seem to have a clue of how to operate a hospitality business. Won't be going back!

5th May 2016 We decided to try the Mon/Tues new Buffet Menu this week. Here is our honest critique of it: Seafood chowder to start lack seasoning and no beads to have with it. Meat was beautifully cooked and tender; ham was nice but he sauce for it was thin, clear and had little taste. Veges: Carrots nice; brocoli and cauli in cheese sauce was very gluggly; roast pumpkin delicious; roast potatoes had absolutely no taste / very bland; the green salad and the beetroot were both missed because we didn't see them on the 'dessert table' somebody put beetroot in their dessert mistaking it for black doris plums (yes that was me lol); Desserts were ok but boxed pav and cheesecake, and cheap tinned fruit salad were not flash. The trifle was delicious though. For $29.95 each it was okay but I think they need to tweak some things.

4th August 2009 Last time I went to Ainos I had the fish. It taste like it had been frozen for a very long time and I could cut it into a perfect square. It was not the nicest meal and I left most of it.
However this is the only bad meal I have ever had here and the cosy atmosphere and friendly staff keep us coming back.
Excellent meal. Fresh blue cod and steak cooked to perfection.
Decor bit dated but meal is what counts and it is well worth a visit.
