If you need a get outta Auckland whilst staying put, this place is for you.
For an amazing experience shift your mind and take your drinking goggles with you. Antique Chinese furniture and drink prices that are also refreshingly antique, greet you on arrival. In its latest incarnation it’s lost none of its previous sparkle. Low ceilings, lighting and now a menu help transport you far out of town while keeping the K’s down.
Russel (the owner) will help make sure it’s the perfect Friday or weekend retreat for those not wanting to waist time travelling.

A previous resident of Freeman's Bay, Shanghai Lil's has now found a new home in a colonial-style underground bar in Parnell Village.

For live jazz, a fun environment and plenty of great service, head along to try it for yourself.
