26th January 2012 Two weeks ago I arranged lunch with a friend, I recommended the Siren cafe. My friend drove all the way from town to meet me there. We ordered 2x Eggs benedict, 1x with salmon, 1x with bacon. When the order arrived, there had been a mix-up and one of the meals had to go back as it wasn't what I had ordered. No problem, I understand sometimes things go wrong ... But the story goes on ... The girl serving us assured me it would take only 5 minutes for this to be fixed ... my friend started eating and I started WAITING. After about 45 mins, and several other customers being served before me, still nobody had come to our table to explain themselves, give us an update or bring me the meal I had ordered... My friend had finished his meal by now, I was still VERY hungry. Upset about the situation I went to the counter saying I was no longer interested in receiving the order. The young lady said she was sorry, but nevertheless still charged me for my coffee!! I was shocked about the WORST customer service I have ever received. And as a Titirangi local it's a shame, you have lost a faithful customer and I will surely NOT recommend this cafe to anyone I know. It seems as if mix-ups of meals and long waits are reoccurring problems.

13th January 2011 Funky layout and loved the private outside courtyard as was a hot day, Great coffee and had a good selection of light food. Found it a good place for a business meeting and was asked if would like another coffee when the staff noticed we were finished which I liked. There were toddlers playing in the sand pit which added to the relaxed atmosphere. Will come back again.

7th September 2010 The coffee is great, and I love the jaffa that comes on the spoon with it. The magnolia tree in the courtyard makes for a stunning setting on a nice day. And the sandpit was perfect for amusing my daughter until one day she emerged covered in cat or dog poo. Uh oh!! The owner was gracious and apologetic and quickly removed all the toys to disinfect them, but it has made me hesitant to let her in there again. Parents - check the sand before letting your kids in public sandpits!

23rd August 2010 The staff are lovely and the food is nice, but at the moment they seem to have an ordering system problem... We've been twice now, and on BOTH occasions we waited for a very long time before chasing up where our order was only to find that they'd lost it.
It doesn't seem to be a coincidence either as while we were waiting to order, another customer came to the counter to say she'd been waiting for nearly an hour for her coffees, and they had also lost the order of the couple sitting next to us!
The staff handled it well, but I don't think it will be a regular haunt for us given our experience repeating itself.

29th July 2010 I head here every morning for coffee. Staff are super friendly and the coffee is consistently good. New interior is a cool retro-look burnt orange and browns. Lots of space indoors, big alfresco dining area with kids sandpit. Kids menu here too.
Great quiet venue, excellent food and service, shut off from street, but can sit outside. Cosy corners to sit in
