I recently saw Dr Jack at Dentalcare West. I was most impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He was also a good listener and was happy to explain a number of questions about my treatment very clearly. I will definately be seeing him for my next visit.

I saw the Dentist and Hygienist at Dentalcare West, and had a great experience. They were professional and empathetic, and their rooms were really nice and clean, they were also much more reasonably priced than other dentists, and have convenient hours. I'll be going back.

I am 28 and have always thought about getting braces but never really gotten questions answered etc. I went and saw Scott waghorn at dentalcare west for my FREE consultation which even that in itself was great. All the staff there were welcoming and friendly. Scott talked my through the options I had with my teeth and any questions I had he was more then willing to answer even through email. I booked again to get orthodontic treatment and a tooth taken out. Claire walker was friendly and polite and the procedure was very straight forward to getting braces put on. Scott took out my tooth in a flash pain free. Dentalcare west will be my dentist from now on as everyone has been friendly and I love that I'm able to pay off my braces with no interest included. I'm looking forward to my next couple of years journey with them :)

After some bad experiences with other dentists, I was left skeptical.... until I met Scott at Dental Care West!! He is simply awesome. He is VERY personable, never rushes you and is happy to chat and explain anything. He gives honest advice, and the care is top-notch. I have always come away from each appointment feeling better than when i walked in. The care and service he gives I can highly recommend. Above all he gives very personalised care. I have been a patient of Scott's for over 6 years now and and so pleased I have found someone I can stay with a rely on! Thank you Scott and the team at Dental Care West. Liz Duncan

We have had a wonderful time/life at Dentalcare West. Our two - now teenage kids have both had plates and braces from here. Scott and Claire are the ones we have used most the time. They are both fun and not to serious so the kids feel at ease. It has never been a drag to go here, the kids are always excited to come because they make them feel at ease. Once my daughter - when she was abit littlier than she is now, got dressed up for Scott in a dress - so cute. They are very professional and definitely a lot cheaper than most ortho/dentists. My kids also get their dental treatment done at the same time which is really convenient and makes it not a chore and a bore to go to the dentist. We love Dentalcare West and will miss it when we have finished the whole braces thing. The whole process has been a great memory for our family and we will definitely refer people here. thanks Kerri :-)

I had put going to the dentist for long enough, as soon as I meet my new dentist I was at ease. He explained everything in detail. Never rushed the checkup, I left with a quote for the required work and they even help with payment plans and have a fantastic Smileplan available to encourage you to come yearly. There was no pressure just good honest advice. Reception and rooms were clean and all the staff were helpful and friendly.

Having been with this dental team my entire life to date they have always provided excellent service and kind support for those unable to pay the lump sum on the day. I most highly recommend this clinic for any looking to upgrade from another clinic as the level of skill, kindness and professionalism that is found here is a benefit to all with teeth. =D

I have been checked my teeth condition. kind reception when I visited there fist, and giving me a free consultation. I hadn't been to dentist since intermediate (I'm 26 and a big baby), because I was petrified at the idea of having fillings and injections and having anyone lecture me about my laziness. I decided as my only new years resolution that I'd suck it up and go, and after finding Dentalcare West I now realise how silly it was to be freaked out. They're open on Satuday which is perfect as I work all week and the experiences I've had now were so chill, comfortable and painless that I have absolutely no fear of going to the dentist anymore. Thanks so much!

Plenty of parking, punctual with appointment timing, cost-comparable with others, and they even gave me freebie toothpastes and tooth brushes and provide the days newspaper in the waiting room. More importantly, they seem to know what they are doing!

The Team at Dental care west are awesome, had not been to the dentist for 10 years as nobody likes going to the dentist, but they were fantastic no stress / no paid it was great. Rang me after a couple of days to see how i was. Will keep going back. Thank you Dental Care West. :) Sandra

I am 68 and my teeth were falling apart. I knew something drastic had to be done. I researched dental surgery costs in Thailand, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and other places as well as New Zealand. I set up a spreadsheet to calculate currency exchange, airfares, hotels, taxis, food, etc. to compare the costs. And although some of the quotations I received were very attractive, how could I factor in the risk. The risk of price increases. I imagined being strapped into the chair with the dentist standing over me with the drilling buzzing ready to drill into my jawbone for an implant while he explained that the cost didn't include anaesthetic. Did I want anaesthetic at extra cost? Or were the ceramic crowns I insisted on actually put in my mouth or replaced with something cheaper? And can you really put the crowns on the implants just a few days after putting in the implants? With these, and other worrying risks, I still had to take time away from my business if I was going overseas and I couldn't get any certainty about how long I would need. Some told me that I couldn't travel for a few weeks after getting the implants. Some said they could fit crowns and implants at the same time while others said I needed months between getting the implants and getting the crowns placed on the implants. I didn't know for how long I would be away or how many trips would I need to get the job done? My spreadsheet was by this time a mess of confusion! I decided I couldn't chance the risks or take the time from my work so I began looking at getting it done in Auckland. Sure, everyone I approached could do it, but their prices were frightening! And when I looked more closely, many did just the crowns while I went somewhere else for the implant surgery and that was charged separately. Just as desperation was ready to overcome me, I noticed an advertisement by Dentalcare West challenging anyone thinking of getting work done overseas. I made an appointment and went to meet with Dr Scott Waghorn. I found him to be a very direct, no mucking about sort of guy. He showed instant understanding of my dilemna and gave me pricing for all the work, including the surgery, that was almost as good as the overseas prices, but without the uncertainties or time away from my business. Now that the work has been completed, I'm so VERY PLEASED that I didn't attempt getting it done overseas because it has taken several weeks. Scott did all the dental and surgery work. He is fast, sensitive, and expert. He has all the necessary equipment and skills. His business and staff buzz with the culture of professionalism that he has imbued. I am very pleased to recommend Dentalcare West and Dr Scott Waghorn to my family and friends.
