7th April 2012 Excellent value, fee muffin with my coffee...bonus! Everything else seems very reasonable. Atmosphere is good with a buzz during the week and more relaxed during the weekend. Great casual dining.
22nd May 2012 The first thing that greets you at this cafe is the cloud of smoke you have to walk through to get in the door from all the smokers. Sometimes their can be dozens of people smoking there right in the doorway - which is enclosed on 3 sides. I find it incredibly offputting and the smell often drifts into the cafe.
The staff never seem to know what they're doing (there is a high turnover of staff and even the ones that have been around for a long time still seem confused). There is no logic to who gets their coffee first - it isn't dependant on when your order was taken and often out of my coffee group the person who ordered a coffee first will be last to get it! The wait is often even slower when there is no crowd (go figure!).

27th October 2010 I bought a fruit salad from them today and noticed its price was raised from $4.30 to $4.80. When I asked about the increase, the girl behind the counter said it was because of GST. I proceeded to bring to her attention that the rise in GST was only 2.5% - when i attempted to point this out, she seemed confused and did not appear to understand my reasoning. I would preferred to have been told it was a genuine price increase and would appreciate the honesty. For those of you looking for a good honest cup of coffee, Blues Cafe is where it is at.

8th July 2010 I never buy coffee from here but the staff are friendly and they make good pies. Although the pies on the mayoral drive branch are a lot better, i'd like to see them raise the standard here.

6th July 2010 I can't get my head around this place. Hollywood is clear and efficient and close to work. The coffee underwhelms me but it's cheap and they throw a free muffin is so on the deal stakes it's ten out of ten.
There is plenty of choice on the lunch stakes so I find myself there at lunchtime quite often

16th June 2010 Now that Hollywood Bakery in Penrose is open it's become a favourite for many Yellow staff. I am very partial to their flat whites, mufins & danish pastries.
