22nd September 2011 On the three occassions I have been to Bowz I have been more than delighted! The food is mouth watering and beautifully presented, each dish is like a work of art. The staff are fabulous. The meat melts in your mouth and the food has a great balance between Japanese and European.. By far the BEST place to eat in New Zealand and at great prices
13th May 2015 Bowz is a small but cosy Japanese restaurant in Epsom. It was 6:30 on a Tuesday and there was already a group of 5 on the Teppanyaki table which could seat 11 and a table was taken by another 4.
We were led to the teppanyaki table by a pleasant waitress. We ordered our drinks & set dinners with crayfish, Wagyu beef & king crab. Appetisers included sashimi, sweet egg roll & cold sweet pumpkin soup - very refreshing. The chef was hard at work, taking turn for all customers on each course. Then came the salad & miso soup with prawns & fish. The mains were nicely done. Our desserts were ice-creams with special sauce and ginger creme brulee. It was an impressive dinner.

10th March 2014 it's my first time for Teppan experience. It was fine and had a great time at there. yet i couldn't understand how i eat or oder for teppan. and the chef was too much focus on his work then we didn't talk and share with the moment.should be more careful for customers. and needs more instruction from staff how we eat ,order. Because Teppan is not popular in here. But almost great for spending money and time.

15th February 2014 I don't really love raw Japanese food, but this Japanese teppan-yaki restaurant is my favourite place to have dinner. I had O-toro as sashimi which is the tuna belly, and those melty toro made me love sashimi. They also have amazing variety of teppan main dish, and although I love most of them my most favourite one is the cray fish. So the food is awesome, service is excellent, this cozy little restaurant is well worth to try. Certainly be back soon.
