The Cleaning School was founded in May 2005 from personal experience in employing cleaners, both individual employees, and others from large cleaning companies and the shocking disappointment that the overwhelming majority did not have the skills necessary to perform properly even the most basic functions such as cleaning a toilet, floor, shower or even how to vacuum a floor properly. It became clear that these staff were not applying any precise cleaning methodologies whatsoever and were doing things in a completely haphazard way. This was all due to a complete lack of or inadequate training.

Further findings included a lack of Health & Safety knowledge, personal hygiene, presentation, understanding & handling of chemicals & cleaning strategies. Also the fundamental concept of time management to achieve the cleaning tasks on time had not been grasped.
