Tours can be accessed from Opononi on the Southern edge of the Hokianga Harbour & on the Twin Coast Discovery Highway. It is a short boat crossing from the Opononi Wharf (on board the Hokianga Express) to the Hokianga dunes where you will be met by your guide. This can be organised for you when you book. Costs are $25 adult, $15 child return & includes the use of sandboards.
Alternatively you can take a scenic drive to Mitimiti, 41km from the Northern Car Ferry Terminal near Kohukohu. Sandtrails Homestay accomodation available.
