Lumsden Kindergarten is a privately owned Kindergarten for children of 3 to 4 years of age. Our main purpose and goal is to provide high quality early childhood education for our families who attend Lumsden Kindergarten.
We provide an exceptionally high standard of quality Early Childhood Education for 3 and 4 year old children and their families in a well presented, professional, dynamic and welcoming learning community.
Children learn best with a high ratio of qualified teachers. Teachers notice children(TM)s capabilities and interests, recognise their ideas and thinking as meaningful and relevant, then respond to learning using sound and deliberate teaching strategies with our integrated curriculum, Te Whaariki.
Everyone who is engaging in ongoing learning and in meaningful interactions at Lumsden Kindergarten with one another do so while having fun!!!
At Lumsden Kindergarten the virtues project is a core component of our programme. It gives teachers tools and strategies to help shape character by creating a positive and empowering cultural environment in which children are learning and growing.
We cover both Hastings and Havelock North.
