Carpet Laying and Repair Services

My name is Mark Nankivell, I am an experienced carpet layer with 20+ years of carpet industry knowledge. I have worked extensively throughout Auckland installing commercial, domestic and marine carpets, using every possible carpet laying process.

I am able to supply and lay carpet in house lots or individual rooms or areas. I supply carpets of every type at wholesale prices. I will do my best to match existing carpets to give a seamless appearance to new extensions and renovations.

I lay second hand carpet as long as you have measured up correctly and know for sure that you have enough carpet to carry out the carpet lay. Laying second hand carpet generally takes longer to install. And it often takes as much as twice as long to lay due to its age, extra sorting, seaming, patching, etc. This is not meant to discourage you only to inform you it will cost more then laying new carpet.

I specialize in carpet restretching. Carpet re-stretching, when done professionally, can add 5+ years to the life of your carpets. Carpets left to deteriorate will delaminate, look ugly and wear out years before their reasonable wear life.

I patch carpet, repair carpet and modify carpet layouts as indicated above regarding renovations.

I also fix squeaky floors, creaky floors, noisy floors!! When the floor securing is complete you can expect a 95% improvement. The other few percent is taken up in floor movements around wall framing bottom plates (sorry can't get at that). This service includes lifting and relaying the carpets before and after the squeaky floor repairs.
