Ate there last night and it was average for the price! The lamb starter was ok, a bit chewy. The eye fillet was nice but not fantastic either. My girlfriend had the calamari which was nice but the duck was a bit dry. The service was nice. Overall, an average experience they can do better.

I had "Venison/ Red Wine Poached Pears/ Potato Croquette/ Blueberry Jus" $ 34,- First of all do not forget to bring magnifying glasses the essential tool to proper see the greedy sized portions of the meal. For example the "Potato Croquette" turned out to be three $.50 coin 8 mm thick pieces of burned potato cake. Standard service did not exist; the venison was served almost uncooked. Well I like it like that but how about asking beforehand? God thanks I came with a half price voucher which kept my disappointment in reasons.

6 of us ate here last night (Monday) we booked at 7pm and the restaurant was very quiet, although by the time we left at 9.30 was about 1/2 full so not bad for a Monday night. We only had mains. The service was great, a lovely girl who knew what the menu was about and was very sweet to our 12 year old diner - he picked bits and pieces off the tapa's menu and created his own dinner which was no problem for the kitchen. Our mains were all beautifully cooked and arrived quite promptly - apart from one which was forgotten and was later take off the bill due to its late (10 minutes) arrival. The meals were generous but did not come with many additional vegetables. The meat was all cooked perfectly. We will definately come again, the prices were reasonable and I really liked the ambiance.

My partner and have eaten at Red Brick twice, at the end of October and at the second weekend of November. Both times we had brought vouchers off those daily deal type sites. The first time we booked for 7pm and it wasn't that busy - it was really pleasant. I had the vegetarian dish - Risotto & my partner had the duck. We also had to side dishes - green beans and chips. The mains were really big portions & the chips were just right. yum. Staff were really attentive filling up our water glasses / offering us more drinks etc. The second time we went, we booked a wee bit later (8pm) on the same day as previously (Friday). The restaurant was really busy the second time; they brought out extra tables, which made the already small place kinda crammed. The time difference and the fact that so many people must have been using those vouchers (maybe also the time of year, start of November?). As a result of it being very busy, I felt the service dropped a bit from the previous time we went. They weren't as attentive in filling up our water etc. My partner had the scotch fillet; he asked for rare/medium and instead got more of a medium. They apologized. I choose the vegetarian dish again; it was awesome to see that they had changed it from last night. It's annoying when restaurants only offer one vegetarian dish that never changes. This time, the dish was potato gnocchi. Personally, I felt the dish wasn't big enough for a main but it was yummy any way. I feel this restaurant should choose between being a romantic little place or a bustling lively / busy place (like Gina's on symnons street). It's kinda awkwardly in between at the moment. Or maybe they shouldn't have sold so many daily deal vouchers?

A fantastic and warm restaurant with some seriously great food at very reasonable prices. Had dinner here with a largish group and we were well looked after; may I recommend their duck main, which is absolutely stunning.
