"We just happen to love jazz and really enjoy playing off each other. We have other larger band gigs going but love the space a jazz trio affords - space for the listener as well as the musician. Space means responsibility along with freedom to express ourselves and play with structure, time and themes. It's jazz, after all"!
Keyboards and horns (trumpet and flugelhorn) is Matt Watson, bass is John Fraser with soft boom and bash by Matt Hennessy.
About Time is three accomplished musos - two Matt's and a John. We like to have fun. Being white guys we didn't think the name Jo-Ma-Ma would make sense, nor, Ma-ma-jo. So we're About Time.
