9th December 2009 Infrascan Ltd provided us with a report on a house we were looking to purchase. They found some problem areas where water had been getting in to. Their report enabled us to negotiate the price down substainally, aswell as enabled us to fix the problem areas before they became serious to the structure. Thermal Imaging has many applications, but primary uses are as follows, Detecting moisture in buildings, Detecting electrical faults in equipment and switchboards, Mechanical faults such as bearings and electric motors etc.
For electrical and mechanical, it works on the principle that absolutely everything will develop some temperature anomaly prior to failing.
For moisture detection the principal is that moisture creates an area if increased density which in turn creates a temperature variation which can clearly be seen in Infrared.

11th November 2009 We contacted Infrascan Ltd after our Insurance Risk Assessor requested us to get our switchboards checked. We found Infrascan to be thoroughly professional and helpful. They presented us with a full written report which we were able to give to our electricians to enable them to fix the fault that was found through thermal imaging of our switchboards. This potentially saved us a fire and a lot of money.
