21st April 2014 Stang House has some of the best Thai food I've ever had, and at great prices too! Their Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups are the best I've ever had, even better than anything I had in Thailand! And at $6-7 for a huge soup, you can't really go wrong. Their green curry and pork larb are also top notch. I wouldn't recommend their noodle dishes though. Although still decent, their noodle dishes are definitely their weak point.

Yes you are right, it was late and we did order well after 8pm. We totally respect that you needed to get home to your family and it was a quiet evening. On further reflection I have given a rating of 4 because we did have such an enjoyable evening. Sorry if the initial response seemed at all harsh. :)

5th November 2010 We dined here last night as a group of four.
This is a small restaurant so not suitable for large groups ie 20+ but is a nice intimate venue.
Our entrees arrived quickly and were delicious and hot, followed a reasonable time later by our mains. The food was great. I've not been to Thailand so can't comment on the authenticity but it was yummy!
We only saw one staff member all evening but as it was quiet this wasn't really a concern. He was polite and accommodating but lost points(?) at the end of the evening when he told us he was closing up now which made us knock back the last of our drinks and take home a corked bottle.
The food was very well priced and the portions were generous although there wasn't any left on any of our plates!
BYO wine and beer but I'm not sure if they actually sell any on site.
I would happily go back again but perhaps on a weekend night when there might be more 'atmosphere'.

5th November 2010 Hi,
I am sorry for having to ask you guys to leave when I did, but I have a young daughter and need to relieve the babysitter.
You guys booked for 8PM, but the 4th guest did not turn up to 8.30, so food was ordered past this time (I close at 10PM usually, unless on the weekends where I might stay open until 11PM) and it was at around 9.50 that I told you guys that I needed to go home.
As for the seating accommodation we can sit up to 25.
