Franchelle Ofsoske-Wyber (of Russian and Cherokee descent) is fully initiated into the ancient teachings and traditions of the Kura Huna, the mystery school of the Maori - New Zealand's indigenous people. A recognised authority on the sacred plant medicine of Aotearoa, she was recently awarded the 2008 New Zealand Health Industry Distinguished Service Award (in recognition for pioneering, developing and establishing New Zealand native flower essences to facilitate holistic healing). She is the director and founder of Medicine Woman Ltd and the co-founder and co-creator of First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand. Franchelle is the author of The Sacred Plant Medicine of Aotearoa. Internationally recognised as medicine woman and shaman she has appeared on various international documentaries sharing her knowing and wisdom of the sacred plant lore and traditional ethno-medicine of Aotearoa.
