26th July 2010 A great asset to Takapuna. The massive glass windows offer a great view of Takapuna beach and the coffee is delicious as well. This place does tend to get really busy so you might need to wait a little bit for a seat but its totally worth it.

10th October 2011 A fantastic location, the only takapuna cafe on the beach! Seats inside and out capitalise on the fantastic view! The menu is varied and interesting, and the service friendly and attentive. I only wish they were open in the evenings for suppers and coffees!

31st August 2010 Unbeatable location, gorgeous breakfast menu which is extensive and original, fantastic coffee. The tables are quite close together and you often have to wait for a seat but a great cafe with the best breakfast menu on the North Shore!

9th July 2010 Always incredibly busy and usually fabulous but must of hit a bad day or perhaps they were just OVER those pretensiuos school kids being dragged out for lunch with their mothers and friends?!
Undercooked chicken livers and lukewarm coffee.

6th July 2010 The Takapuna Beach Cafe has one of the best cafe spots in Auckland. A prime spot overlooking the beach with good parking nearby.
I know people who come here for the ice cream (it has a side door just to serve that) but I like the food and sitting inside. In summer there are a number of great outside chairs to people watch and catch the views. The food is good with a few items you don't normally see like Moroccan eggs with chorizo baked in a pot - yum. The service is pretty prompt as well. This place can get busy but the staff seem to manage OK
