16th February 2011 Jody at Top Note has been our 11 year old son's trumpet tutor for the last two years, providing 30 minute individualised lessons. She is consistently positive and encouraging, pointing out what is done well and talking about where improvements can be made. She is patient and persists to help him iron out difficulties so that he is able to produce a more polished performance. At times, she demonstrates on her own trumpet while at other times she plays with him. As well as being skilled musically, Jody is able to build rapport with the children she works with making the sessions enjoyable and productive.
