I chose to take my husband to mark a special occasion.
We were positioned in an intimate corner while in the adjoining room a large party had arrived but this had no impact on the experience.
A complementary starter taster of mushroom soup/puree with garlic foam was a portent of things to come. The menu was nicely balanced and catered nicely for my husband's carnivorous tastes as well as my vegetarian palate as well. Everything was well presented.
One of the things that we both took from the expereince was that the staff seemed very happy to be there too, and were clearly skilled and efficient. A good sign for the long term.
Best dining experience for ages and i cant wait to go back and bring some friends with us to share the experience

18th July 2010 One of my favourite venues for breakfast. Always fresh and lots of variety. Friendly service and the buffet choice of hot or cold, full English or fresh baked Continental is great for filling the gap so you can continue with the day. Amazing value for money - I can fully recommend Fortuna.

14th July 2010 We've had a couple of parties here for friends, it makes a nice break from your usual buffets - most of the fun is in riding the sky tower up to the restaurant.
The last time I was there, they were a little slow restocking some things, but the quality is amazing, very fresh, lots of food and a range that means there is something for seafood lovers, steak lovers, and all sorts of things in between.

On the otherhand if you're not dieting - come on down.
The greatest place in Auckland for the freshest buffet around.
Amazing choice of foods, from roasts to seafood, with all the trimmings of course.
