Wairere King is a ram stud focused on producing high performance Romney rams for sale to the commercial sheep farming market. Wairere King rams have a great constitution, are strong, muscular, fertile and transfer well to any NZ farming conditions. Our operation is located in the heart of the King Country, near Taumarunui. With a combination of steep unforgiving terrain and an animal health policy of minimal drenching, and strict culling, only the strongest rams are put up for sale. Through an ongoing programme of fine tuning sheep genetics, keeping detailed records of our pedigree and progeny, we believe we are producing high performance Romney rams, which are competitive on all levels with the natural attributes of the Perendale, the Texel, East Fresian or any composite breeds.
