Omega Rental Cars New Zealand is a car rental company with hire locations throughout NZ including Queenstown. We specialise in providing quality late model rental cars to free and independent travellers.
We offer fully inclusive car rental rates and key benefits include free 24 hour road side service, free pick-up and drop-off, free seats for children, and free AA Travel road atlas.
Our Queenstown Depot is located in central Queenstown (12km from the Airport).
If you are staying at accommodation in the city centre a representative will collect you and bring you to our depot to uplift your rental vehicle. This should be arranged prior to the day of your collection. In case of any difficulties our freephone number is 0800 15 48 15.
Should your arrival be to Queenstown Airport please supply flight number and time of arrival. Once you are ready to be collected, please call freephone number 0800 15 48 15 and a representative will be sent to collect you in our Omega Shuttle Bus. You will then be taken to the Queenstown Depot, where you will complete the documentation and uplift your vehicle.
Should your arrival be outside office hours (please allow 1hr to clear customs) arrangements will need to be made prior to arrival. A contract will need to be pre signed and a parking fee of $25 incurred. Please contact us on e-mail rent-car@omegarentals.com to make the necessary arrangements.
If returning to the Queenstown depot a free shuttle service is provided to take you to the Airport. Should you require this service arrangements would need to be made in advance.
30th August 2013 Price and service prior to renting were both good. However after a roofrack broke leaving one of our boards unusable and another damaged, the company became a nightmare to deal with. Rude, aggressive and unsympathetic. Tried to charge us $600 to replace their faulty equipment (we got a quote from repco saying replacement cost was actually only $150!) Very disappointing that we ended up being charged to pay for their defective gear, and being left out of pocket for the damage to ours because of it. The whole situation was dealt with terribly and we will never use them again. With the way they dealt with something so relatively small, I'd hate to see how the deal with a serious issue! Not recommended.
