27th March 2010 Rang and spoke to someone night before we went to find out the cuisine etc, was advised that upmarket bar cuisine and got really busy so should book. Arrived with our party of 8 (was my sons 19th bday), a few obvious after work drinkers were outside but not many inside. Ordered drinks, they didnt have much on offer. Waited for 3/4hr before we were offered menus by a young lady who didnt really want to be there. The menu was extensive and sounded lovely, our orders were taken and we were told no chowder (hmmm maybe they forgot to order it in). Took another half hour or so for our food that arrived basically one plate at a time over a period of 15 minutes. By the time the last plate arrived some had just about finished there meal. The meal itself was disgusting. I ordered the fish buger, that consisted of a piece of battered fish that had been broken into 3 sections slapped in between 2 basic buns (only just warm) and a bit of green stuff that was suppose to be salad. I did expect maybe some tomatoe, onion etc. The chips were cold and that was my meal most of which was left. 4 steaks were ordered with eggs, when the first 2 steaks arrived the eggs were hard and slapped on top of the steak (I did think to myself if the chef doesnt know how to cook eggs whats the steak going to be like). The medium steaks were well done, one that was actually burnt and chargrilled. We showed the young lady and advised her to tell the chef how bad it was. Also went to order another beer and they had run out. I think in hindsight this business is obviously in the throws of closing down, or difenately should be, will not recommend to anyone and was really let down and disappointed for my sons sake
