We have had a Sunshine Solar water heater for seven years now. Are enjoying using warm washes, baths for young ones and our last power bill for the six of us was $90!

Another update: 2008 to 2009 power bill was $883 for 2 adults. Free hot water is very easy to get used to! In September the solar system started producing excess heat for our home requirements so already the outdoor 5,000 litre tank is up to 30 degrees. Continue to be very pleased with the Sunshine Solar system.

Update from KiwiGPS: In the 06-07 year we used $1450 of power. The 07-08 year we use $999. Now do all the clothes washing (even rinses) in warm water. Continue to be very pleased with the solar system. Our 5,000 litre outdoor aqua-jogging tank is also heated with the excess heat - it got to 38 over summer but was 28 most of the time.

As a very satisfied customer I recommend others looking for efficient, well priced and supported solar water heating discuss their requirements with John Wilson. As I prefer to thoroughly research large investments I found John's no-pressure, no-bull, factual answers to my questions very helpful. John is easily contacted both before and after the sale and is generous with his time and advice. It's a pleasure to deal with a person who both knows his product well and has confidence in it. Above all, John is honest and has integrity. I purchased a 50 row evacuated tube set for our 3 bedroom home. This is deliberately over sized as I wish to have excess heat available for future indoor radiators and a small, deep aqua-jogging pool. Initial impressions are very favourable. Since installation in early April to late Aug. '07, with 5 adults for 70% of the time, the remainder with at least 2 I have had to use electric heat for only 10hrs. I'd be pleased to show others my system.
