If it is just a service be assured it will be more through and rigorous than other garages, right down to vacuuming your footwells! Ensure you go to him if you are getting quotes to find out the questions you need to ask to ensure you are not getting a quote for a bodge job buy a inexperienced mechanic.

25th August 2012 I have been having my car serviced at MCR for a couple of years now. They are so thorough, safety conscious but reasonably priced. They are honest, reliable and knowledgable. I know for a fact I will not be ripped off. When it comes to your car you must be safe so I value their opinion highly and would recommend them to anyone who wants mechanics who know what they are doing and are also very aware of the expense of running a car. 25th August 2012 I fund about MCR through a friend as she gave me her discount card so I can get a free wof. The wof was fast and easy. All I needed was a light bulb and new wipers. The guys where very polite and explained the difference between a service and oil and filter change. There was no nude calendars on the walls. They have a small black dog that kept me company in the waiting room... very cute. I would give them 10 out of 10.

24th August 2012 I need a mechanic I can totally trust to know my car is totally road worthy. At the moment I need my car to perform to avoid danger I need to know it will. With a little Diahatzu Mira for about town this is a big ask.
I want to only be without the use of my car infrequently so have the service and WOF done at the same time always within the same day,. I am dropped off at work and picked up at the end of the day. I know of no other mechanic that offers this service.
MCR consistently provides this service for me. I am delighted with the clear straight advice. I have been told when brakes can last and when they cant. I was given plenty of warning that the CV Joint cover was wearing.
I love the way that I am taken seriously as a woman and not patronised as I have been so often elsewhere. No little concern is considered 'silly'. Not understanding is expected and explained in clear concise terms.
I am glad I have found a mechanic I can trust.

19th May 2011 WATCH OUT!!! I was stupid enough to buy one of their "discount cards" and took it in for my 'free WOF'... Didn't end up being so free, he hammered me with a page fill of shit (my car had always flown through). Then said "we can do the work for you". I then took my car to my mechanic and said that half the stuff didn't even need to be done!! They are a bunch of ******* SCUM BAGS.

If you felt that i was not ad-hearing to the rules of the VERM (Warrant inspection guide) there are correct channels to follow,if you feel that i have been too tough on your inspection, not just leaving anonymous feed back

27th October 2008 Took car in for simple WOF and service (advertised special). Failed WOF and service was more expensive as had done optional things like replace air filter without asking. Quoted $340 to fix for WOF. Took to another garage who quoted $210 for same job. They found it wasn't even broken, but had ordered the part and spent time on it so I had to pay them (fair enough). Took back to MCR - who still insist there's a problem. Went to another place for third opinion - no problem. Went back to MCR - who basically said "too bad no refund no WOF". Went to vehicle testing station, WOF passed. Went back to MCR who wouldn't refund my extra expenditure for this non-existent problem, but bizarrely offered to replace the part for free saying the car was in highly dangerous condition (note, nobody else thought it needed that, so I said no and am continuing to pursue my costs) - traders response is incorrect - the WOF passed 6 months later with no ball joint problems whatsoever.

24th June 2009 (Service special of free W.O.F. with service) Service does include checking of the Air filter, we replace the Air filter if require, but can remove new Air filter and refund amount if customer does not want the filter (this customer wanted the filter) $35 cost of Air Filter.
I Estimated $340 as my parts supplier quoted me on the complete lower arm not just the ball joint, re-quoted at $120, after this customer went for a second opinion, he came back upset and abusive, eventually he let me put his car over the hoist to be rechecked and showed the play in the lower outer ball joint L/H, as he explained he could not feel the play after trying to educate a non mechanically minded person too pickup the movement, he failed to see or feel the movement.(I was unable to refund a FREE W.O.F.)
I was very concerned about the play in his suspension and as his partner was due to give birth and will have a very young baby in the car, I offered to replace this ball joint for FREE, I could not understand why he would not think of the safety of his Family when it was not going to cost him anything.
This happened over six months ago, I checked his lasted W.O.F. inspection on line (W.O.F. inspector authorized only website) and he failed on the L/H lower outer ball joint
I try to help were I can and our team do there job to a high standard
There are always two sides to every story, people seam to vent anger easily but praise is often overlooked
