Unfortunately I have just had an experience with Animates attempting to return a fish tank that was leaking (and under guarantee). They insisted I had to purchase another one and they would send the 'faulty' one back to the manufacturers (China) and they would decide if I got a refund. I pointed out that travelling with the tank would mean they could suggest any damage occurred during transit which they agreed was possible. My gripe is that the sales assistant knew they had a problem with these tanks I wasn't the first to return one, so therefore they knew it was a product fault but they were still unwilling to show customer service by offering a replacement for a faulty product. I went elsewhere I won't be shopping there again.
