I use an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This is an active approach to behaviour change. Clients learn to skillfully manage unhelpful thoughts, painful emotions, and other difficult internal experiences. They also make changes in their daily activities that move their lives more inline with their values and long-term goals.

This approach can help with issues such as difficult emotions (anxiety, sadness, anger, etc), excessive worry, overthinking, painful memories, bad habits, relationship problems, and other issues.

I can treat diagnosed psychological disorders, such as major depression and anxiety disorders (e.g. social phobia, panic disorder, PTSD, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD).

I aim to be genuine, open, and empathic - the foundations of an effective therapeutic relationship.

My practice is guided by psychological science, especially as it relates to emotions, motivation, and behaviour change.
