Garden restoration is more than general gardening services and includes all these elements but also includes a wider range of skills or services. Not just to
hard weed a garden down to its foundations or
renew garden soil, or
prune or replant- and so on
BUT ALSO to
renew or repair fences and other garden timberwork or
lift and relay paving or
remove a stump or other unwanted aspects of a garden
recover and reuse resources already in the garden such as rocks for a rockery or
recover and protect specimen plants or self sown/seeding plant specimens or
extend and enhance what is already existing in a garden
The first step for me in a project would be to acknowledge that ultimately ~garden restoration(TM) is the ultimate aim of the project.
The starting point however is in a proper assessment " getting down to the foundations " get rid of all that is unwanted, removing impediments to garden health " like buried weedmat, checking soil health (compaction, digging and composting, fertilizing) and getting to know exactly what(TM)s where and what needs doing.
The good thing about a restoration project is that we can negotiate the project with you
all at once or
break it down into planned stages " costing each stage in turn.
