Ecomist is a New Zealand owned international franchise based on the sale and service of DIY or automatic insect control, odour control and fragrancing products.
Ecomist was born out of the invention of an automatic aerosol dispenser by a clever New Zealander. The dispenser was ideal for controlling insects with an active ingredient that was safe for humans so Ecomist decided to use natural pyrethrins from the chrysanthemum daisy. The other product line that fitted well with the dispenser was fragrancing and odour control which requires regular but small sprays of the product. Ecomist developed an extensive range of odour neutralisers that use high quality French perfumes as their point of difference to other basic air fresheners on the market.
