MedRecruit was started in 2006 after Dr Sam Hazledine observed the disconcerting number of fellow doctors leaving the profession because of burn out and disillusionment. Many of these doctors were turning to recruitment agencies to help them find jobs for doctors and work they loved, but unfortunately the agencies were caught up in a race against each other to fill jobs rather than to serve doctors.

Sam realised that to best serve doctors in their careers he needed to build a new type of agency that offered doctors three things:

Access to the largest network of employers possible to maximise the chances of getting the perfect job
The deepest employer relationships in the industry so their candidates are picked first over other doctors
The widest range of services of any agency to support doctors and make getting jobs for doctors as easy as possible.
This has been achieved and our members have access to all of these things and much more.
