RUDE STAFF, OVERPRICED AND LESS THEN MEDIOCRE FOOD. AVOID THIS PLACE. Waiting staff took orders, delivered it and were never seen again... Food was put on table that was not ordered, when i told the waitress i didn't order it, she left it there anyway. Even after I told her i would not pay for it. The food was less the mediocre, entree tasteless meatballs with soyasauce, mains: overcooked meat (wok-meal), vegies, doused in some generic sauce, most thai takeaways can do better (much better) for 12,- When it was time to pay I questioned the food that we did not order and was confronted with a VERY rude waiting person, he told me they had video-evidence of me touching the food and asked "shall I call THE POLICE"? While actually waivng the phone in my face... WOW! I said OK call the police...go on then, i thought that would be very entertaining if they did... This is when they realised they'd gone too far and back-pedalled, saying oh nono, it was all a misunderstanding... Really? All the while, the unprofessional "manager" Kay.. stood behind the guy, laughing and having a great old time, he would not take any responsibility for his staff's behaviour, saying, his staff was in charge... I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY IN ANY RESTAURANT! YOU ARE A DISCREDIT TO YOUR PEOPLE, IN THAILAND THEY DO KNOW HOW TO TREAT GUESTS, BUT NOT AT THE THAI CHEF. STAY AWAY.. We just wanted to get out of there so I paid but will certainly NOT GO BACK THERE and recommend you do not go here either, Service atrocious and rude, food overpriced and crap... New Plymouth is a small town and word gets around quickly.
