10th November 2020 I have bought dog bones from Sams Butchery for 2 1/2 years and found dealing with Kenny to be unpleasant 9 times out of 10. He can come across as rude and arrogant most of the time and I have seen him treating staff poorly in the way he talks down to them. I have phoned up many times to ask him if my bones will be there only to arrive and have him tell me that they have been sold. I have paid a premium of $2.00 per 20cm dog bone because they cut them in half for me. I turned up this weekend for Kenny to tell me that it is so difficult and time consuming for them to do that one lengthwise cut that I will now have to pay $4.00 per bone plus, even though I had rung in the morning and been told there were bones available, arrived to be told there were none. So not only does Sam's Butchery have butchers who struggle to cut a bone lengthwise on the saw and an assistant manager who is generally both rude and arrogant, they are now officially the most expensive butcher in Auckland and probably New Zealand.
