T.I.N.Z. is New Zealand's most comprehensive tenant checking system. Endorsed by the Real Estate Institure of New Zealand (REINZ) and the New Zealand Property Investors Federation (NZPIF).

This online tenancy system was formed in 1998. More commonly known as a bad tenant database. Setup for property managers and landlords to pre-check prospective tenants and lodge good and bad tenants online 24/7.

Property managers and landlords may lodge their own, GOOD & BAD TENANT REFERENCES, 14-DAY NOTICES, and TENANCY TRIBUNAL ORDERS. Receive a $1 credit each time a lodgement of the above is made. Photos of tenants may be uploaded also, which you get a 50cent credit for.

Veda (formerly Baycorp) Credit Checks are simultaneously done through a T.I.N.Z. 'tenant check' online at similar or cheaper costs compared to going direct through Veda. These checks will bring up a tenants general credit history.

You must be a T.I.N.Z. member to use the facility. Registration is done online. There is a membership fee, however there are 3 different membership options available which all vary in price.
