City Firewood Review - Be warned anyone who deals with these guys. God knows how they get the wood so wet - wondered if they've been pulling it out of lakes. There's wet (which isn't uncommon at this time of year) then there's their wood which is saturated. We did get 6 barrows of free mulch for the garden though :-) Saying that the level of misrepresentation here is criminal. If a deal seems too good to be true it probably is. Who's got the time to chase them up on it - best thing to do is spread the word and shut them down. They don't deserve customers.

Agree with other reviewers at least a quarter of the "wood" delivered was just soil and mulch, this is such poor quality and service. I really hope these dishonest people go out of business.

Never again from this supplier.Their firewood is wet and came with soil. Such rubbish. Like Darcy2, we spent hours clearing and shoveling. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. When I rang them to complain, that guy Michael was grumpy and very rude.No customer service skills as all.Thumbs down!

May 2013 Supplied wet wood, some absolutely saturated, and over 1/2 m3 of soil, stones and rubbish in my 2 m3 purchase. Utterly disappointing to spend 2 hours shovelling the "wood= compost" around the garden and to put up with steaming wood in the fire. City Firewood Supplies were on Fairgo July 2012 for EXACTLY the same rubbish firewood.
