Pharmacist Kamal Slaimankhel, an Otago University graduate with 12 years experience, is delighted with his new-look pharmacy opened August 1st. His sentiment is backed up by customers who appreciate the spacious interiors, roomy enough for strollers, the well-stocked shelves and professional, friendly approach from the team.

"If we don't have something we will try very hard to source it for you, just ask," says Kamal who is on hand if you need advice on medication or any other health issues. If you require a little privacy there is a dedicated consultation room.

Unique to Prochem Pharmacy is their extensive supplement counter which carries essential proteins, amino acids, pre-workout supplements and vitamins for athletes to gym goers to those wanting to lose weight. Most leading brands are stocked and there is helpful advice on hand from Khalid Slaimankhel, a professional bodybuilder and personal trainer.

Joining the family business is Omar, a professional rugby league player who plays for the Junior Warriors and was recognised as best fullback on the Toyota Cup competition 2011.

Formerly the main Avondale post office, this beautiful building on the corner of Great North and Rosebank Roads is now transformed to a modern, full service pharmacy. Free blister packing is available and delivery of medication can be arranged. Nose and piercing is done on the spot.
